Kilishi is a tasty version of dried meat also known as 'beef jerky'. It is originally from the Hausa people in Niger, but is now quite a popular snack in West Africa. Thin slices of beef, sheep or goat meat are seasoned with a mixture of peanuts, ginger, pepper and salt and dried in the strong sun.
